The Hillside School, an independent school for children with learning disabilities for children in grades K-6, is opening a class for 7th and 8th grade students. Hillside’s program is designed for those students with potential who struggle with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Research-based programs, strategic approaches to learning, and effective use of technology are taught by certified and specially trained teachers.

The Hillside School will offer free early literacy screening for children ages 3 through 5 on two Saturday mornings in May! We will be open from 9 A.M until noon on May 12 and May 19. Screening takes approximately 15-20 minutes. We recommend that parents call 610-967-3701 to reserve a time in order to avoid waiting. We will also accommodate as many drop-in children as possible during that time. Parents will receive information about their child’s reading readiness stages, and recommendations for resources they can use to help foster their child’s literacy development. We hope to see you on one of these dates!
