We appreciate your interest in applying to The Hillside School. The application process has five steps that begin with the Inquiry.
If you believe that The Hillside School would be a good fit for your child, please complete the online inquiry form or contact Ian Schreffler, Director of Enrollment & Community Outreach at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-967-3701. We will schedule a visit by phone or email to tour the school and learn how our unique methods can support your child.
The tour is an opportunity for you, along with your child if you so choose, to learn more about Hillside and for our Admissions team to learn more about your child. During your 60-minute visit, you will tour the school, review our programs, discuss your child’s needs, and meet some of our faculty, staff, and students. We can assist you with the application process if you are interested.
The Hillside School has rolling admission, and students may enter Hillside at any time during the year.
Complete the online application comprised of a questionnaire about your child’s history, parent demographic information, and parent observations. Follow the prompt to upload any current and past evaluations. A printed version of the application is available upon request by contacting the main office at 610-967-3701. The Admission team may request that one of its members observes your child in his or her current school setting and/or obtain current teacher feedback form provided to the school. We cannot make an admission decision until we receive all documentation. The application processing fee is $50.
For New Families:
Beginning and accessing the online application require a username and password. If you do not have a username and password, please complete and submit our online inquiry form.
Following submission, you will receive an email with instructions about setting up your Admissions Portal account. You will use this username and password if you return to the portal to complete the admission application or review its status.
For Current Hillside Families:
To submit an application for another child, visit the online Admissions Portal. Login using the same login information you use to access the Hillside Parent Portal. Then, select the child’s name from the drop-down menu, select the name of the child for whom you are applying.
Prospective families wishing to apply for financial aid should begin the process as soon as the admission application and the supporting documents have been submitted. All financial aid decisions are made independently of admission decisions, and are only awarded after an offer of admission has been extended to a prospective student.
You can apply for financial aid through SSS (School and Student Services). There is a $51 processing fee. For more information about financial aid, click on https://hillsideschool.org/admission/tuition-financial-aid/ or contact Darlene Stack, Business Manager at 610-967-3701.
4. Student Visit
The Admission team will review the application and all evaluations, and invite your child to spend the day at Hillside. During the visit, your child will experience a typical day at The Hillside School.
Within two weeks of receiving the completed application, the Admission team will make an admission determination.
