COVID-19 Update

October 5, 2020

Dear Families,

Today we entered our sixth week of school! Shout out to parents and guardians for supporting their students and the school in our very first hybrid instructional model. We all certainly understand that there have been multiple challenges and by working together we will continue to find solutions.

I want to applaud the faculty and staff for demonstrating a positive attitude and working with families to solve scheduling issues, technology difficulties and more!  In addition, I want to thank everyone for their diligence in following the health and safety guidelines throughout the day.

Very Important Safety Reminders:

  • Daily COVID-19 Screening form on the Veracross Parent Portal must be completed at home each morning before 7:30am on in-person learning days.
  • If your student is sent home from school with signs or symptoms consistent with COVID-19, he/she will be required to obtain medical clearance in order to return to school in accordance with the PA Department of Health guidelines.
  • Parent Pick-up:
    • If you arrive early, please park in the PARKING LOT, not on Wild Cherry Lane, in the parking spaces along the bus lane or in front of the school
  • When the buses depart (about 12:35), drive into the bus lane, pull your vehicle all the way down to the end of the lane (making space for as many cars as possible) and your student will come to you

We started the process of hiring an additional classroom teacher for the intermediate grades to accommodate an increase in enrollment while continuing to adhere to the current health and safety procedures.

Hope you all can enjoy a fall “awe walk” and participate in our Scholarship Virtual Fun Run

All the best,

Donna Henry
