A Hillside education meets the needs of intelligent students who need specialized instruction to help support reading, writing, and math skills. In addition, the Hillside School’s program supports students with ADHD and executive functioning needs.
Our faculty are committed to a student-centered, mission-focused philosophy. Our educational programming supports the development of the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Programming is designed around implicit and systematic approaches to instruction.
Faculty first focus on meeting the students where they are, filling in any missing or necessary foundational skills, and remediating areas of need. They then help them identify and explore their strengths, teach them to self-advocate and provide an unwavering belief in their potential. Ultimately, our goal is for students to transfer and use the skills, strategies, and tools learned here into wherever they transition to in school and in life.
