Admission

Apply To Hillside

Personalized learning at The Hillside School starts by understanding the specific challenges and strengths of your child. Admission consideration includes your child’s learning profile, their potential for growth, and how our specialized curriculum and small class sizes can best support their educational journey. We encourage you to join us for an Open House or to Schedule a Private Tour to experience the Hillside difference for yourself.

Affordability and Tuition

Tuition

The tuition for 2026-2027 school year is $35,000 for kindergarten through grade 8. Financial aid and tuition adjustments are available to qualifying families based on demonstrated financial need through a confidential and independent review process.

Affording and Financing a Hillside Education

Your investment in a Hillside education may feel overwhelming. Fortunately, we can identify and guide you through several options to help relieve some of the financial stress associated with tuition.

Adjusted Tuition: Hillside-funded tuition adjustments are awarded based on demonstrated financial need. Individual adjustments may not exceed 80% of tuition for the academic year. Thanks to the generosity of dedicated individuals and corporate donors who continually contribute, we can provide financial aid to over 40% of our students.

Tuition Payment Plans: Single, term, quarterly, and monthly payment plans are available. Hillside partners with Clarity for payment plans up to 12 months beginning in June.

IRS Medical Deductions: Tuition and expenses incurred for educational therapeutic intervention through approved schools are deductible medical expenses.

529 Savings Plans: A maximum of $10,000 per year from an individual’s 529 Savings Plan can be spent on tuition and expenses for elementary or secondary private/independent schools (www.pa529.com). Check with your accountant or financial planner for details.

Flexible Spending Accounts: Some employers offer Flexible Spending Accounts that permit tuition reimbursement coverage under Medical Reimbursement Accounts. Check with your company’s benefits administrator.

Educational Loans: A variety of financial institutions offer education educational loans for students who attend independent K-12 schools.

Applying for Adjusted Tuition

The Hillside School has funds available for families who, through a confidential review process, demonstrate financial need. The Hillside School and families work with the Clarity platform and Mission Enrollment to evaluate applications.
These funds exist thanks to the generosity of donors, foundations, and fundraising. They are awarded to those who qualify as long as funds are still available.
